Expectant or new mum? Pregnancy and raising children can be challenging, especially when so many changes are happening in your body and mind. You are on a new life path, with a new identity to juggle; it is a big undertaking to come to terms with. There are many pressures placed on new mothers which we may feel unable to achieve. I saw Emma after an assault in 2019. Naturally the psychological issues were far reaching. Following the assault I was kept together by kindness from so many people and I include Emma in this. Emma has repeatedly helped me through the police investigation and has sent multiple reports to me to aid me gain compensation. She has never questioned my requests and always responded to me with kindness.I want everyone to know how supportive and kind Emma has been to me and how much I have valued her. - Patricia

I came to Emma to try CBT therapy for my OCD for the second time, with little faith that anything could change my thinking patterns, but Emma transformed my outlook on therapy! She is so caring, reassuring and down to earth and she made me feel safe and supported throughout the CBT process. With her encouragement, I was able to achieve goals that I never thought were possible and push myself to test out my fears. Three months on, I am the happiest version of myself, free from the OCD bully! I am endlessly grateful for Emma’s incredible knowledge, dedication and support. I really couldn’t have done it without her. - Jessie

I saw Emma for NET after I came to the UK. I was having nightmares and flashbacks to many things which have happened to me in my life. Emma helped me process what has happened to me and helped me to realise that there is more to life and to me than the traumatic experiences I have gone through. I will always remember the flowers. - Carla

I felt alone and alienated before I started working with Emma. She made me feel validated for how I felt but also helped me view things in a new light. I feel able to be a more present mum, but also be me again and not let the mum guilt and anxiety eat me up. Emma, thank you for guiding me through it all - T.L.
