Psychotherapy
At Proctor Psychotherapy, we use evidence-based treatment models to work on alleviating low mood and anxiety through focusing on the present circumstances. Whilst we recognise how our past has shaped our present, we believe that to find a fulfilling and balanced life one must make tangible changes to our current circumstances.
At Proctor Psychotherapy, we offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).

One-off consultations
I offer a one-off one hour consultation to conduct a full mental health assessment to help you understand why you are feeling the way you do. This consultation is for those who are unsure about their difficulties and are searching for advice on how to seek the right support.
We will explore your current difficulties, background and life goals. Following the assessment you will be provided with advice on which therapy is the best suited for your needs, signposting to the relevant service to meet your needs and provided with self-help materials and therapeutic tips to start your journey.
After this consultation if you would like to have CBT or NET sessions with me after this, we can discuss how my expertise aligns with your needs.
Treatment
I offer as many sessions as necessary for each person. CBT and NET sessions typically range from 12 to 20 weekly sessions.
Sessions are 55 minutes long and can be held in face-to-face or via online video chat using Zoom.
The first few sessions are dedicated to gathering a comprehensive understanding of your background, difficulties and goals for treatment. Once this is acquired, we will begin making steps in line with your goals. As we only have one hour a week for therapy, it is essential to carry out tasks between sessions to practice the techniques learnt to gain the most out of therapy.
Location
Individual therapy is offered online via zoom or face-to-face at Greenwich Wellness and Pilates, Durnford St, Greenwich Market, London SE10 9BL.
Rates
Please enquire for rates for private individual therapy.
I offer private therapy to people who are self-funding or paying via private Health Insurance or Employer Funded.
For those who are planning to fund therapy via health insurance or through their employer, please discuss this when enquiring. When the health provider or employer is paying directly, invoicing and payment terms will be agreed upon with them and there may be charges where additional admin or reports are required.

Testimonial
I saw Emma after an assault in 2019. Naturally the psychological issues were far reaching. Following the assault I was kept together by kindness from so many people and I include Emma in this. Emma has repeatedly helped me through the police investigation and has sent multiple reports to me to aid me gain compensation. She has never questioned my requests and always responded to me with kindness.I want everyone to know how supportive and kind Emma has been to me and how much I have valued her. - Patricia
